| Telecourse
Information
Hello. Welcome to Lane Community College's multimedia distance
learning website for Understanding Movies:
The American Cinema and The Photographic
Vision. These are credit courses that are taught to
students who are separated by time and/or space from the instructor. The
courses are for anyone whose family or professional
responsibilities make it difficult to attend on-campus classes, and are directed toward the student who is an independent, self-motivated, and
flexible learner. |
VIEWING PROGRAMS Taking a telecourse requires a disciplined and controlled environment. Watching each program will demand your undivided attention. It is recommended that you do the readings in the texts before viewing the programs. Every week the video lessons will be broadcast on Comcast Cable channel 23 and on Charter Communications Cable channel 9. Each lesson will be cablecast several times during the week. If you miss any program at home it may be viewed in the LCC library on the main campus. Videotapes are also available for 2-day checkout at no charge (limited to one tape at a time). PLEASE NOTE. Students with access to cable television should watch and/or record the programs at home. This helps make the checkout tapes available for students who don't receive cable.
